Twenty plus years in the Live Event industry has left me with two things – the fortune to see most of what this business can throw at you, and the experience to combat most of it. This business has been the driving force in my life for decades and I am lucky enough to still be able to work in the field as often as I am acting as the CEO. That type of passion doesn’t go away when you start growing your busness.

All Mo employees share my sentiment. As CEO of Molecular Media, Inc. my goal is to position the company as “The Company To Call” when event production services are needed. It’s all about the people. Always has been. Molecular Media specializes in putting the right people together with the right tools to make the impossible possible. While focused on the “personal touch” concept of customer service, we maintain and improve our product and service model one project at a time.

Kevin Lampman

COO + Partner

Stagecraft and lighting design has been a focus of mine since high school, having attended a conservatory program for secondary education and a collegiate conservatory thereafter.

I took that foundation and dove in to being an independent technician, a Designer and a project manager for companies all over the globe. With a passion for technical direction and a consuming interest in the latest technology, the production industry was a natural home, and I haven’t looked back since.
Doing what you love coupled with the exciting daily whirlwind that defines this industry pushed me to start my own production management company. I live for the challenge and excitement that comes with building an organization from the ground up. In that role, I often partnered with the amazing team at Molecular Media, and when a merger opportunity presented itself, it was a natural combination of two great companies joining to do something special in our industry.

The new Molecular Media is truly something great. Since 2010, the combined forces have been executing amazing events, bringing visions to life and focusing on what’s important – exceeding client expectations. Events are about the details, and nothing is more satisfying than having attention to detail result in a moving, memorable event.

Tom Ierna

CTO + Partner

Back in the 80’s, I was the guy taking apart any piece of electronic equipment that came through the household. Sometimes they even worked  after I put them back together. While I still hadn’t yet discovered gaff tape, countless wires were strung between many rooms to create intercoms, whole-house sound systems, and light shows.

In high school, I enrolled in every A/V class they offered. I wanted to learn as much as I could about creating experiences with the technology that I loved. This is where I met Andrew and Jerry for the first time. The rest is history.

I have worked as a graphic designer, database analyst and admin, and had several jobs in tech support, but nothing has been as fulfilling as creating Molecular Media. Those experiences helped prepare me to handle the rigors of acting as Molecular’s CTO. Ultimately, working with clients to see their visions become reality, will always be the best thing about the job. Do what you love, and you never work a day in your life.

Steven J. Levy

Executive Producer of Creative Services + Partner

Steven J. Levy has produced for Agencies, Brands and Networks alike. In 2004, Levy launched Habana Avenue observing the need for a hybrid version of the old production model. Levy’s goal for Habana Avenue was to fuse the company’s most strategic relationships to create opportunities that had not been found within a single-solution provider. Habana Avenue embodies this living model. Levy now works to cultivate the apex where creativity and elite production service unite.

To date Levy has proven the model to be successful. Levy may best be known for his work producing prodigious franchise opens, such as ESPN’s Monday Night Football with Hank Williams Jr., NBC’s Super Bowl Open & Sunday Night Football with Faith Hill, ABC’s Saturday Night College Football with 50 Cent & Perry Farrell, directing & producing the NASCAR open featuring Aerosmith and the Emmy award-winning 2010 global World Cup open that was broadcast to 3.2 billion people around the world on ESPN and it’s affiliates. Levy has also produced work for brands including Pepsi, Honda, USOC, Burger King and countless others, and facilitated Live and Concert experience campaigns including Oprah Winfrey’s Live Your Best Life Tour and the world’s first and largest Fantasy Football Superdraft in Las Vegas.

Barry Brown

Senior Project Manager + Partner

In the mid-eighties I jumped headfirst into the Audio Visual business fresh out of the United States Army where I served as Television Production Engineer. That gave me four years of hands-on experience with state-of-the-art broadcast quality cameras as well as leading edge touch screen based editing systems. When I first entered the high tech world of A/V there was just one video projector capable of showing very low resolution computer images!

In the nineties I started as a warehouse technician and quickly rose through the ranks to become a very diverse Senior Show technician responsible for crews and shows and all things in between. I can safely say I’ve covered every position in my 20-plus years in this business. It’s amazing how technology has grown forcing us all to keep up with it.

We are in the relationship business and want to be our clients’ only, one stop solution to their convention and event needs – large or small. We care and that’s what sets us apart from other companies. “It’s all about the people,” isn’t just a tagline, it’s a mantra that the Mo teams lives every day.

Jerry Wood

Senior Project Manager + Partner

It would seem my fate was sealed during my time at LAMP productions at Lakewood High School. It was there that I met Andrew and Tom, who I would later partner with to make the Molecular Media dream a reality. It all began with a life long love of gadgets and technology.

Once I was introduced to the production world, I knew it was where I needed to be. Here I could combine my love of all things gadget, with my aptitude to create amazing experiences for people to enjoy. As part of the team, my job has always been to “make it work”. When the account executives come to me with a wild idea for an event, whether it’s 270deg projection or dropping a CEO in from the ceiling, I get to be the guy to figure out how to do it, often in rooms without enough space, power or lighting. The thrill of the challenge is what drives me. Now as the Director of Live Events at Molecular Media, I can continue my education in emerging technologies and design. My goal is to make each client’s show “pop”, no matter the size of the event or the budget.

Rob Salo

Director of Sales and Business Operations

I am a business Nerd.

Some nerds focus on technology, and make it their business to know more than you do about how it works (we have a few of those here).  Other nerds play games online and chat with friends across the globe about the latest X-Box phenomenon (we definitely have a few of those here).  I’m the nerd who looks at business portfolios and projects revenue, strategizes growth, and implements innovative approaches to business development.  I don’t wear pocket protectors, but I do love a good pair of jeans, even if they don’t go all the way to the tops of my shoes.

At Molecular Media, I am proud to be responsible for the revenue growth and sales strategies that define its success.  I show up at my office, get to work with great people, and have an amazing opportunity to help this great team set new standards in our industry.  I love the nerds I work with, and I’m honored to be the nerd they count on for growth.

Most of all, I’m excited to be one of the nerds helping our clients achieve amazing things – big or small, our team of nerds can help you.  We’re like a team of nerdy Super Heroes.  We’re there when you need us, and we’re here to help you discover needs you didn’t know you had.  We don’t wear spandex suits, but we certainly have a cape or two lying around.

Jeff Polly

To say that I love this industry is an understatement. With over 500 shows under my belt I feel like I have almost seen it all.  Now I look forward to the surprises and the challenge it brings. From early planning, to on-site implementation, I enjoy the entire process. However being onsite, ensuring your vision is coming to life, is where I really love to be.

I started my career working in an audio visual warehouse for Audio Visual Innovations in Tampa, Florida. That lead me to AVI where I got the chance to work as both a freelancer and audio engineer, as well as dabbling in lighting design. The ability to both direct AND run the equipment, brings huge advantages to my clients.

Coming to work at Molecular Media was the next obvious step forward in my career, and it’s been a great transition. It’s nice to work for a company that focuses solely on the client and producing their vision of the perfect event.

Coming to Molecular Media allowed me to find my passion. Some people thrive on stress, the thrill of a deadline and the satisfaction you get when you step back and see it all come together. Molecular has really allowed me to thrive on the things that make me tick. It takes an outgoing personality, adept organizational skills and true resourcefulness to ensure that each show’s details are checked, rechecked and executed without a hitch. Recognizing clients’ needs and then reacting to them appropriately is the only way to ensure a project succeeds.

My love of the game has put me in the perfect position to take care of our largest clients inside this ever changing world of live production.

Dianne Brooks

Keeping a company’s financials straight is a never ending job. Whether it’s keeping up with invoices, researching new tax code or approving company wide expenditures, there’s just something about keeping things in order that makes it exciting. I came to Molecular Media with over two decades of accounting experience. Accurate invoices and on-time billing procedures will make or break any company, and keeping it all running smoothly is what I do best.

Tony Argenas

Marketing Director + Account Executive

I come from a long line of marketing people. It’s in our bones, like heritage, and marrow. I had my first marketing job at 6, running copies for my dad’s ad agency in Canton, Ohio. The pay was horrible, but I got free room and board, so everyone won. I’ve worked in lots of markets and countless verticals since then, but working with Molecular Media has been a truly eye-opening experience. It’s a place where creativity meets OCD. They create beautiful and intense experiences from a drab room, in hours, and then tear it down to do it again 2,000 miles away. It really is incredible, and that’s why the decision to join the team was an easy one.

For me technology is a second language, and the production industry thrives on it. I was always obsessed with gadgets when I was younger. Being from a rural town will do that to you. So when I met the founders of Molecular in 2009, I knew I’d found a home. I knew that I could communicate the kind of passion they had for their industry. As I worked with them to define their business, their passion rubbed off and soon I was working side by side with them to see the client’s visions become reality. How could you NOT love that feeling? Now, in addition to overseeing their brand, I also have the privledge of working with the clients as an account executive. It’s a wonderful combination of working with new interesting people, and creating something incredible.

Mike Wise

Account Executive + Executive Assistant

When the team needs something done, I’m the guy to ask. As a “man of a million resources,” if it’s out there, I’ll find it, negotiate for it, and have it for you before morning. I have a life-long love of the industry, with a special place in my heart for the technology involved. So, keeping up to date on the latest ways to engage with an audience is where I shine.

Mostly you’ll find me handling day-to-day, pop-up issues for clients. If someone needs to give a presentation, at the bottom of a well, tomorrow, I’ll be the guy to find cables long enough to reach the bottom. Also, with a background in creative writing, I work a lot with the marketing department to help further the Molecular Media brand. Sometimes that means polishing the copy in an upcoming RFP and other times it’s choosing color schemes for a promotional piece going out to prospective clients.

All said and done, I like being a utility man for the team. It allows me to spread my talent across a lot of different areas and keeps things interesting. One minute I’m a talent scout, the next, Production Coordinator.  And whether it’s working as a photographer, designing interactive games for between breakouts, or driving the long haul from Tampa to LA, working for Molecular means doing what you love.

Tom Rumpf

Logistics Coordinator

Keeping track of thousands of pieces of gear, moving all over the world, is the chess game I get to play every day. Making sure each item arrives at its destination, on time, and intact is the checkmate. Working closely with our trucking and shipping vendors is how I spend most of my time. Creating and maintaining those relationships ensures that Molecular Media keeps an accurate and consistent record when it comes to logistics, and that means savings and peace of mind for our clients. I also have the pleasure of working with our own highly skilled team of commercial drivers, who are out there on the road making sure your show runs as smoothly as possible. Logistics coordination is NOT for the faint of heart, but what can I say? I love the challenge…

After 40 years in construction, I came to work for Molecular Media. It is a great challenge that is very rewarding – I get to work with great people, in great working conditions

Molecular Media is building its inventory every day, and I have the exciting task of tracking, cleaning, storing and shipping a changing and delicate set of products.  As we grow, our warehouse grows, and I am excited about being able to bring innovative technologies to customers around the world.

I am a creative thinker who loves to work with my hands. The tough part is finding career opportunities that blend the two. In my career I have been an engineer, a sales manager and a customer service professional, and at Molecular Media, all of those skills come together into one amazing opportunity.

Meeting the needs of Molecular Media’s clients means problem solving and execution. It isn’t enough to come up with a great solution – we also have to implement the solution under often adverse circumstances in front of a live audience. Molecular has given me the opportunity to work with great people every day, and tackle diverse and dynamic challenges for the good of our customers. Every day is a new challenge, and I’m a proud member of the Molecular Media problem-solving team.
